The research group integrates clinical-translational research with the daily healthcare practice, and is committed to implement the medical advances achieved in the laboratory in standard clinical practice.<\/p>\n<h2>Scientific objectives and lines of work<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Molecular characterization of thoracic neoplasms.<\/li>\n<li>Translational development of novel biomarkers.<\/li>\n<li>Preclinical evaluation of new therapeutic strategies using patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse models.<\/li>\n<li>Early clinical trials.<\/li>\n<li>Improvements in standard clinical practice in lung cancer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Specific objectives<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Molecular characterization of thoracic neoplasms.\n<ol>\n<li>Molecular taxonomy of lung cancer<\/li>\n<li>Integral molecular and immunological profiling of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
