{"id":4929,"date":"2018-08-07T10:50:54","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T10:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mirth0\/en\/?page_id=4929"},"modified":"2018-10-09T12:28:34","modified_gmt":"2018-10-09T12:28:34","slug":"critical-patient","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/imas12.es\/en\/research\/chronic-diseases-and-transplantation\/critical-patient\/","title":{"rendered":"Critical Patient"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The main lines of research of the Research Group in Infections of the Critical Patient are the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Donation and transplantation of organs.<\/li>\n<li>Infections in critical patients.<\/li>\n<li>Nutritional treatment of critical patients.<\/li>\n<li>Serious traumatic diseases.<\/li>\n<li>Simulation in critical patients.<\/li>\n<li>Other aspects of critical patients.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The <strong>objectives<\/strong> of the Research Group in Infections of the Critical patients are the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Line\u00a01: Donation and transplantation of organs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To improve the quality of the organs donated by means of actions applied to the donor.<\/li>\n<li>To implement and cooperate in the development of new techniques to obtain organs (uncontrolled or controlled asystole, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>To analyze the characteristics of the immediate post-operative period in liver transplantations from a global perspective to detect risk patterns for the onset of complications.<\/li>\n<li>To investigate the role of extracorporeal liver clearance techniques in acute liver failure secondary to graft dysfunction.<\/li>\n<li>To assess the characteristics of the post-operative evolution of patients who have received a graft from a donor in cardiac arrest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Line 2: Infections in critical patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop actions aimed at improving the monitoring and prevention of nosocomial infections.<\/li>\n<li>To implement measures to improve the different aspects of antimicrobial treatment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Line 3: Promoting research on nutritional treatment in critical patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To examine the possibilities of nutritional assessment and the calculation of requirements.<\/li>\n<li>To further study the metabolic and nutritional characteristics of liver transplantations.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze problems related to enteral and parenteral nutrition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Line 4: Serious traumatic diseases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To administer the initial care of patients with serious trauma.<\/li>\n<li>To analyze aspects derived from treatments with blood components.<\/li>\n<li>To monitor and identify treatment objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Line 5: Simulation in critical patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop and evaluate simulation models.<\/li>\n<li>To identify clinical scenarios for the simulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Line 6: Other aspects of critical patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extracorporeal clearance and\/or support systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ethical aspects and humanization in the care of critical patients.<\/li>\n<li>Music therapy in the intensive care unit (ICU).<\/li>\n<li>Organization of critical patient care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The main lines of research of the Research Group in Infections of the Critical Patient are the following: Donation and transplantation of organs.
