Collaborating institutes for FP training

If you wish to collaborate with the i+12 Institute in the realisation of internships for vocational training students, the procedure should be done through the secondary education institute, the first step being to contact the Continuing Education Unit of the Hospital Universitario 12 Octubre:

The university education taught at the i+12 Institute is mainly carried out through the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), which gives the teaching character to the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, and is classified as follows:

Researcher / technical stays

If you are interested in making a stay as a collaborating researcher in our Institute, as a first step you should contact the head of the host research group into which you will be incorporated during this period. Degree and / or End-of-Bachelor’s Thesis or Master’s Thesis

If you are in the final courses of any of the degrees related to the life sciences, or you are doing a master’s degree related to the Life Sciences, the Research Institute Hospital 12 de Octubre (i+12), with the objective of promoting research interest in young people, offers you the opportunity to do internships during the summer period, as well as the possibility of doing end-of-grade projects in one of their research groups.

The i+12 institute has agreements with different Spanish universities for the development of internships and / or end-of-degree projects, aimed at young people who want to have a first contact with biomedical and bio-health research in a reference centre.

Specialised Health Training Rotations

If you are doing the Specialised Health Training, and are considering the possibility of a stay at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in order to expand knowledge and learn techniques that are not available in your centre or unit of origin, or have an interest in performing part of your training period in a centre that is not provided for in the training programme or in the accreditation granted to your centre, we remind you that article 21 of RD 183/2008, of 8 February which determines and classifies specialities in Health Sciences and certain aspects of the specialised health training system are developed, regulates the authorisation and evaluation of external rotations.

Professional training stays Health Sciences

If you are a professional in Health Sciences and want to stay for a period of between 6 and 12 months in a department / care unit of the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, you must contact the Teaching Commission to process the application, at least 2 months before the scheduled start of the stay:

Additionally, the Institute has a Continuing Education Committee of the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre. The Hospital, aware of the importance of the scientific field in a hospital environment, teaches courses aimed at fostering among its professionals the culture of research and the strengthening of capacities in this field.

On the other hand, from the Innovation Support Unit, training capsules are given to all the professionals of the i+12 Institute related to the field of innovation and the transfer of research results.
