Participation and collaboration with international structures

ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infraestructures Network): a non-profit organisation that functions as a “network of networks”, integrating the clinical research networks of 7 member countries, generating a structural fabric that allows the provision of support for the conduct of independent multinational clinical trials in studies involving several European countries, overcoming the current gaps between the legal and health systems of the different countries.

i-HD (European Institute for Innovation Through Health Data): European non-profit institute, whose mission is to guide and promote good quality, interoperability and reliable use of health data to optimise health and knowledge generation.

ERCF (Emerging Risk Factors Collaboration): University of Cambridge Coordinating Centre. Consortium led by a cardiovascular epidemiology unit with more than 130 prospective studies and with the participation of more than 30 countries that has collected and harmonised data from a total of ~ 2.5 million participants to study risk factors in cardiovascular diseases. Our group has been collaborating with this Consortium for more than five years. We participate with the cohort of the DRECE project (Diet and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Spain).

InSite: Project in which the Hospital 12 de Octubre participates, based on the development of an innovative platform for the use of health data from different sources for clinical research. It is a Hospital Network of Excellence at European level that enables the quality of clinical data to be improved. It is currently in the process of implementation. Our Unit is participating in the validation of this tool in the implementation process at the Hospital 12 de Octubre.
